Snow and tobogganing at Woferlgut
Concorde Winter Get-Together 2018

At Sportcamp Woferlgut and associated campground – one of the most luxurious campgrounds in Austria – the popular Concorde winter get-together was also held in the winter of 2018, led by Sabine Baumgartner. Through her untiring commitment, her caring and cordial manner and her  constant cheerfulness, she is slowly but surely on the way to becoming the uncrowned Concorde ice princess.

Once the 23 participants had arrived with their 11 Concorde motorhomes, there was a meet-and-greet with mulled wine and homemade sweet bread. The evening ended with a four-course gala menu.

At a frigid minus 18°C the next morning, it was off to Salzbug for a tour of the city. The next day, participants took part in a high-altitude hike on the Schmittenhöhe mountain to marvel at the surrounding landscape and the ski area.

The fourth day was spent on an excursion to Saalbach-Hinterglemm. There, one could take a horse-drawn sleigh up to the Lindling-Alm. For the trip back down, toboggans were provided instead of the horse-drawn sleigh. The evening was then rounded out with live music in the restaurant.

The schedule was more relaxing on the second-to-last day of the get-together. The group visited the old timer museum in Kaprun. There, participants were impressed by the anecdotes told by the museum founder and ended the evening with a delicious meat fondue.

In spite of the wonderful breakfast with salmon and made-to-order omelets, there was a bit of melancholy in the air on departure day.
